WHY PONYVOLT AND NOT A GENERIC OBD APP
Zero setup: Mach-E PIDs are built in and verified. No forum hunting for PID lists, no CSV imports, no headers to configure.
It remembers: every drive is archived permanently. Generic apps show - PonyVolt records.
It explains: phantom drain, seasonal range loss, battery ageing. Measured on your car, not guessed.
It's automatic: connects by itself, logs in the background with a status notification, stops when the car sleeps.
Backup and restore: your history survives a phone change.
WHAT YOU GET

🔋 BATTERY HEALTH RECORD - SOH tracked over time, plus pack internal resistance measured from voltage against current, compared with your own baseline: it often starts rising before SOH moves at all.
💶 CHARGING AND COSTS - power curve, kWh added, peak power, AC/DC detected automatically. Enter what each charge cost and you get the running total, your real average price per kWh, and what the same kilometres would have cost on petrol or diesel - converted with your own measured consumption, not a brochure figure.
👻 PHANTOM DRAIN MONITOR - how much charge you lose while parked, measured at every stop, verified against the odometer, with alerts when it turns abnormal.
🐎 DRIVE SCORE - every trip rated 0-100 against YOUR own history at similar temperatures: efficiency, regeneration, power discipline, speed.
🧭 TRIP ESTIMATOR - tells you if you make it, and if not how many kWh to add and after how many km to stop.

When the range is lower "for no reason", the app breaks it into measured factors: charge, health, recent consumption, temperature, and what the parked hours drained. When you sell the car, you hand over a documented history.

REQUIREMENTS
Ford Mustang Mach-E (2021-2024 fully supported; 2025+ in beta)
ELM327 Bluetooth Classic OBD2 adapter (BLE-only dongles are not supported)
Android 8.0 or higher
Note: the OBD port stays powered when the car is off, so the dongle stays on (tiny draw on the 12V battery). Unplug it if you park for weeks.
