FlyLab APP
Would you fly today?
FlyLab answers this question using real METAR and TAF weather data from the NOAA Aviation Weather Center. You select your airport, and FlyLab displays the current weather conditions in plain text and evaluates them against your personal minimum requirements.
FEATURES
• Real METAR and TAF data for DACH airports (EDDF, EDDM, LOWI, LSZH, etc.)
• Pre-flight dashboard: GO / MARGINAL / NO GO at a glance
• METAR fallback: no personal weather report? FlyLab automatically uses the nearest commercial airport
• Decision engine with three pilot levels: PPL student, newly licensed, experienced
• Runway data + crosswind calculation + density-altitude check
• Route planning with multiple waypoints, VFR reporting points, and airspace check
• Aircraft database with weight and balance calculator (Cessna 152/172N, PA-28, DR400, DA40, Aquila A210)
• NOTAMs, document and equipment tracking
• Custom waypoints and briefing snapshots
• Animated weather background, dark cockpit theme
• Map with airspaces, VFR tiles, and precipitation layer
REGISTRATION IS OPTIONAL
You can use FlyLab completely without an account. If you wish, you can sign up with email, Apple, or Google to securely save your routes, aircraft, and settings in the cloud and access them on multiple devices. No ad tracking. You can delete your account and all data directly in the app at any time.
DATA SOURCES
FlyLab uses public weather data from the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the OpenAIP aviation database for runway data, and OpenStreetMap and OpenFlightMaps for the map.
IMPORTANT NOTE
FlyLab is a learning tool and does NOT replace official weather advice. The final decision always rests with the Pilot in Command (PIC).
Made in Germany. Software that flies.
