The Böhme newspaper is not a feel-good paper. She puts her finger in the wound of political, economic and social grievances - especially in the local and regional areas, i.e. where our readers are at home. In doing so, it exercises control over decision-makers – a task that the legislature has given it. This control helps to rid the system in which we live of “black sheep” and ultimately strengthen basic trust in social interaction. There is abuse in every system. The key is to expose it, make it public and end it.
The Böhme-Zeitung feels committed to this task. With her articles, she wants to enable her readers to make decisions based on sound knowledge - not least in elections, but also when exercising civil rights in controversial local and regional projects. But the Böhme-Zeitung sees more in its readers, namely supporters. She cannot know about all dubious events in authorities, associations, parties and other associations if she is not informed about them by informants. These are extremely important for an editorial team – and are protected accordingly. An editorial team will under no circumstances reveal their identity: after all, they can invoke their right to refuse to testify to investigating authorities. But the Böhme-Zeitung is not content with just describing problems and leaving its readers alone with them. Rather, in numerous articles she pursues a constructive approach with which solutions are presented to overcome the grievances described. Because overcoming a problem is an important facet of our daily lives. Ultimately, all of our lives should become even more worth living, and that is exactly what the Böhme-Zeitung would like to make its contribution to.
