eSpeak NG

eSpeak NG is a compact, open-source text-to-speech (TTS) engine that gives your Android device a clear speaking voice in more than 100 languages and accents — entirely offline.

Once installed, eSpeak NG registers as a system text-to-speech engine, so any app that speaks can use it: screen readers such as Talk Forward and TalkBack, ebook and document readers, learning and navigation apps, and your own projects.

BUILT FOR TALK FORWARD

This build is packaged for the App Suite / Talk Forward ecosystem and installs alongside any existing eSpeak NG, with its own independent update cycle. Talk Forward uses it as its offline voice through Android's standard text-to-speech framework.

eSpeak NG is free and open-source software (GPLv3). This is a thin repackaging of the upstream eSpeak NG project; all speech data and synthesis code come from upstream.
