Pocket25 APP

Pocket25 brings APCO Project 25 Phase 1 digital radio monitoring to your mobile device with a focus on accuracy usability and real world performance. It is designed specifically for monitoring P25 Phase 1 systems and provides clear decoded audio along with detailed call and system information. The application supports both trunked and conventional P25 systems allowing you to follow active talkgroups automatically or monitor single frequencies manually.

Pocket25 displays live call data including talkgroup ID radio ID NAC encryption status emergency flags and system identifiers such as WACN system ID site ID and RFSS. This makes it easy to understand exactly what is happening on the system in real time while listening to decoded voice traffic.

The app supports direct USB connection to RTL SDR dongles using USB OTG with no root required offering low latency and strong performance. It also supports remote RTL TCP connections so you can monitor systems using a networked SDR located elsewhere. Gain and PPM correction can be adjusted to optimize reception for your setup.

Trunked system following is fully supported including automatic voice channel tracking based on control channel data. Talkgroup filtering allows you to mute unwanted traffic or focus on specific talkgroups using whitelist or blacklist modes. Systems can be configured manually or imported from the RadioReference database to simplify setup.

Pocket25 is built on the DSD Neo decoder engine and is optimized for P25 Phase 1 operation. While other digital protocols may decode at the engine level the user interface and feature set are centered around P25 making this application best suited for users interested in monitoring public safety and other P25 Phase 1 systems.

This application is intended for lawful and authorized radio monitoring only. Users are responsible for ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations regarding radio reception and monitoring.
