Mouwaten APP
Mouwaten helps you keep an eye on what is happening across Lebanon, without having to scroll through social media or follow several news pages at once.
The app shows public-safety incidents on a simple live map, so you can quickly check what is happening near you, near your family, or along a route you are planning to take. Reports are available in both Arabic and English.
Mouwaten monitors Lebanese news sources around the clock. Incidents are checked against more than one source before they appear on the map whenever possible. As situations change, markers are faded or removed, so the map stays focused on what is happening now.
What you can see on the map:
• Airstrikes, shelling, and drone activity
• Ground incursions and troop movements
• Gunfire and clashes
• Evacuation warnings
• Road closures and traffic disruptions
• Protests and demonstrations
• Fires and hazards
• Crime and police activity
• Other public-safety incidents
Push notifications
You can sign in to turn on free alerts for all of Lebanon, or for a specific area around a town or neighborhood you choose. You can also choose which types of incidents you want to be notified about, and change your settings at any time.
Arabic and English
Switch between Arabic and English whenever you want. The app supports both languages properly, including right-to-left Arabic layout, Arabic text, and translated push notifications.
Privacy
You can browse the full map without creating an account. Sign-in is only needed if you want push notifications.
Mouwaten uses Sign in with Apple and Google. We do not track your location, sell your data, or show ads. You can delete your account and its associated data from inside the app at any time.
Editorial standards
Mouwaten is built to be careful with sensitive information. We do not name casualties. We do not publish rumors, unverified claims, or information that could identify specific individuals.
Every published incident is reviewed by a cautious automated classifier before it appears. When an event appears to end, such as a road reopening, forces withdrawing, or a fire being put out, the marker is faded or removed so the map remains useful and current.
Who Mouwaten is for
Mouwaten is for people in Lebanon who want a clearer view of what is happening around them. It is also useful for families checking on loved ones, commuters planning their route, and anyone who wants public-safety information without the noise.
Mouwaten does not replace official emergency services. In an emergency, call the Lebanese Red Cross at 140, Civil Defense at 125, or Internal Security Forces at 112.
