Hazari is a well-known game played in Bangladesh, India, and Bhutan. It is a 4-player trick game in which players arrange their 13 dealt cards into 4 groups (3, 3, 3, and 4 cards). The groups must be arranged in descending order from highest to lowest rank, meaning the final group with 4 cards should be the lowest combination.
Hand Rankings (Highest to Lowest):
• Troy: Three of a Kind
• Colour Run: Pure Sequence (Same Suit)
• Run: Standard Sequence
• Colour: Flush (Same Suit)
• Pair: Two of a Kind
• Indi: High Card (Individual)
Scoring & Winning:
Play proceeds counter-clockwise across 4 rounds. In each turn, the player with the highest-ranked group wins all played cards and leads the next round.
Card point values:
• Aces, Kings, Queens, Jacks, and 10s = 10 points each
• Cards 2 through 9 = 5 points each
(Total deck value = 360 points)
After all 4 rounds are played, players count their collected card points and add them to their running score. The first player to accumulate 1,000 points wins the game!
