Family Tree

Family Tree turns scattered family history into something you can actually see. Add the people you came from and the ones who come after, link them together, and watch a clean, scrollable tree take shape: generations line up neatly, couples sit side by side, and a single tap always brings you back to yourself.

Adding someone takes seconds. Give them a name, a birth date, a living or deceased status and any notes worth keeping, then link them as a parent, spouse or child. Put a face to the name by choosing a photo from your gallery and cropping it to fit. As you learn more, edit anyone, or remove a person and their links without disturbing the rest of the tree.

When your family grows past the point you can hold in your head, a searchable, alphabetical list finds anyone instantly, and opening a person shows their photo, their details and every one of their relatives in one place.

It works wherever you are. You can add and edit people with no signal at all: changes are saved on your device and sync automatically the moment you are back online, and the app tells you when edits are still waiting to sync. Nothing is lost on a train, in a basement, or in the reading room of an archive.

Your family tree is private, and that is the point. Everything you add is stored in a space locked to your Google account and enforced by security rules, so no other user of this app can see your family. There is no public profile, no feed, no follower count and no sharing to strangers. Your family's names, dates and photos are never sold and never used for advertising.

Signing in with Google means there is no extra password to remember, and we never see your Google password. Your tree is backed up to your own account, so replacing or losing a phone does not mean losing your family history.

You stay in control of all of it. Remove a single person and their photo whenever you like, or delete your entire account and every piece of data you have added, from Settings inside the app or from the website, at any time.

The app itself is quiet and warm: a modern Material 3 design in natural colours, with a dark or light theme, or one that simply follows your system setting.

Most family history lives in half-remembered stories, scattered notes and spreadsheets nobody opens. Family Tree is a small, focused app for keeping it in one place: accurate, private, and pleasant to look at.
