CIVIS Venezuela APP
CIVIS is a citizen response platform for emergencies (earthquakes and aftershocks). With CIVIS you can:
• Activate an emergency SOS with your location.
• Report damage to buildings and infrastructure, with photos.
• Report and search for missing persons.
• Consult risk and damage maps.
• Find supply points, shelters, and collection centers.
• View recent earthquakes and alerts.
SOURCE OF INFORMATION
Most of the content (damage reports, missing persons, shelters, aid points, and maps) is GENERATED BY THE COMMUNITY and by the users themselves; it does NOT come from official agencies and should be verified.
Official information is provided ONLY by these official government entities and their websites:
• Earthquakes: USGS (U.S. Geological Survey) — https://earthquake.usgs.gov | FUNVISIS (Venezuela) — http://www.funvisis.gob.ve
• Weather: INAMEH (National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology, Venezuela) — http://www.inameh.gob.ve
• Disaster Management: Civil Protection (Venezuela) — https://www.pcivil.gob.ve
• Emergencies: Dial 911 (official emergency line).
We do not use any other official sources of information besides the government entities listed above.
CIVIS works even when the network fails: the pages you have already visited remain available offline, and your reports are automatically sent when the signal is restored. You can report anonymously.
CIVIS does not replace official emergency services: in a serious emergency, always contact the authorities (911).
