Намаз: обучение для начинающих

Namaz is a Persian word denoting one of the most important forms of worship to Allah Almighty: specific words and movements that together constitute the Islamic prayer ritual.

Every adult (according to Sharia) and sane Muslim is obligated to first learn the method of performing namaz and then perform it daily, at specific intervals.

In Arabic, namaz is designated by the word "solat," which originally means "dua" (supplication—that is, turning to Allah with a request for good for oneself or others). This entire complex of words and movements came to be designated by this word, as dua is the most important part of our namaz.

Namaz is, first and foremost, our connection with Allah and an expression of gratitude to Him for all the countless blessings He has bestowed upon us.
